17 businesses selected to develop an industry e-learning demonstration in 2007
In 2007, the Industry Engagement project received 78 applications from Australian businesses seeking funding to develop and pilot an industry e-learning demonstration. One in five applications were successful, and over $685,000 will be funded to the following 17 selected businesses:

2007 Industry selection criteria and funding guidelines now available! The 2007 selection criteria and funding guidelines to develop an industry e-learning demonstration are now available for download from this website. This year the application process is fully online for all of the funding categories. The online application process will be accessible from this website from Monday 19 February. Online applications MUST be submitted by 9am AEST Wednesday 4 April.

Funding in 2007
The selection criteria and funding guidelines to develop an industry e-learning demonstration in 2007 will be available to download from this website on Tuesday 9 January 2007. The Industry Engagement Project will retain three funding categories of up to: AUD$25,000, AUD$50,000, and AUD$75,000, with the following new requirements:
* up to
AUD$25,000: must partner with a registered training organisation (RTO)
* up to AUD$50,000: must partner with an RTO and additional business
* up to AUD$75,000: must partner with an RTO and two additional businesses.

E-learning in industry growing: A review of the use of e-learning in six industries
In June 2006, APT Strategies was commissioned by the Industry Engagement Project to undertake a quantitative research study to measure the impact of the project on the use of e-learning across the following industries:
*    Construction and Mining
*    Health (Hospitals)
*    Primary Industries (Agriculture and Seafood)
*    Manufacturing and Electronics
*    Transport and Logistics
*   Utilities (Water Supply and Energy)

E-learning using RFID device scoping study
In 2006, the Industry Engagement Project in collaboration with the New Practices in Flexible Learning Project have co-funded GlobalNET ICT to undertake a cross industry scoping study on radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, this scoping study has been released and is now available.

Strategic conversation with industry
On Thursday 14 September 2006 over 50 industry stakeholders met in Melbourne to discuss their thoughts on the future of e-learning.
